Avianca Brazil CEO Update
Avianca Brazil CEO Jose Efromovich discusses the airline’s rapid growth over the last couple of years despite the overall contraction in the Brazilian domestic market. Avianca Brazill is now slowing down domestic expansion until there is more political certainty in Brazil and will focus this year on renewing its narrowbody fleet, with A320neos replacing A318ceos. However, it is pursuing international expansion with three new international routes to be launched in 2017 for a total of four international routes. On 23-Jun-2017 the airline’s first long haul route will be launched, from Sao Paulo to Miami. Avianca Brazil also plans to launch service to Santiago in Chile in Aug-2017 and plans to announce in Jul-2017 a third international destination in the Americas for its newly acquired A330 fleet.
