AAPA Director General Optimistic About 2019 Outlook, Expects Another Year Of Cargo And Passenger Growth
The Director General of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA), Andrew Herdman, discusses the outlook for 2019. AAPA expects another strong year of passenger growth for the region’s airlines and is also relatively bullish on the air cargo market despite the potential impact of the US-China trade dispute. Mr Herdman also talks about infrastructure challenges and China’s One Belt One Road initiative, which was the subject of a panel discussion at the CAPA Asia Aviation Summit that he moderated. In addition, Mr Herdman provides some highlights from AAPA’s Assembly of Presidents in Jeju and the APAC DGAC conference in Fiji (both held in October).
